Privacy policy
What this site records when you submit a form or read a page, who it reaches, and how to have it removed.
This privacy policy explains what APT Insurance LLC ("we", "us") collects through this website, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and how to ask us to see, correct or delete it. It covers this website only. Information you give us in the course of placing or servicing an insurance policy is also handled under the notices that apply to that policy and to the carriers who write it.
What we collect
What you type into a form. The form on the quote page asks for the property type, the state, a total insured value band, the renewal month, your name, email address and phone number. The contact form asks for a subject, your name, your company if you want to give it, email address, an optional phone number and your message.
What arrives with a form. With each submission we record the page it was sent from, any campaign labels in the web address that brought you to the site (the utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign values an advertisement or email link can carry), your browser's user agent string, and a one-way hash of your network address. The hash is used to limit repeated submissions from one connection. We do not store the network address itself with your submission.
What the server records. The company that hosts this site keeps standard web server logs, which record the pages requested, the time of each request and the network address it came from. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.
We do not ask for, and you should not send through this site, bank account numbers, tax identification numbers or other financial account details.
Cookies and tracking
The public pages use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier) and records the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, your approximate location, your device and browser type, and whether you sent a quote request or contact form or tapped a phone or email link. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We use these reports only to understand how the site is used, and we do not use them to identify you.
Google processes this data under its own terms, described in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser. The site loads no advertising or social media tracking code.
The site's administration area, used only by our staff, sets a session cookie when a staff member signs in. It is not set for visitors to the public pages.
If we add any other third-party service to the public pages, this policy will be updated to say what it is and what it collects before the change is made.
How we use it
- To reply to you and to work on the request you sent.
- To prepare a submission to insurance carriers and markets when you ask us to seek quotes for a property.
- To keep a record of the request and our replies, including the insurance records licensed producers are required to keep.
- To understand which pages and campaigns bring in requests, using the page and campaign labels described above.
- To protect the forms from automated abuse.
We do not sell the information you send us, and we do not use it to add you to a mailing list.
Who it is shared with
Insurance markets. When you ask us to seek quotes, we send the carriers, wholesale brokers and program administrators we approach the information they need to underwrite the property. They handle it under their own privacy notices.
Service providers. The company that hosts the site and its database, and the email service that delivers our notifications and replies, process your information on our behalf to provide those services.
Where the law requires it. We disclose information when a law, a regulator, a court order or a similar legal process requires it, or where it is needed to protect against fraud.
How it is stored and how long it is kept
Submissions are stored in the site's database before any email is sent, so a request is never lost to a mail outage. Access to them is limited to our staff through a password-protected administration area. No method of storing or sending information over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot promise that it is.
We keep a submission for as long as we need it to respond to you and to place or service any insurance that results, and for as long as the record-keeping rules that apply to licensed insurance producers require. A submission that leads to no further contact can be deleted on request, as described below.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to us through the contact page or at info@propertyinsurancepartners.com. We will confirm who you are before acting on a request, and we will tell you if a record has to be kept to meet a legal obligation. Depending on the state you live in, state law may give you further rights over your personal information, and we will respond to a request as the law that applies to you requires.
Who this site is for
This site is for owners and managers of commercial property. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
